“Great collection of things to interest anoraks”

Just opposite the Metro in an old church. They have everything from Foucault's pendulum to Telstar, with steel-works and sewing-machines in between. The blurb is in French but most items speak for themselves. I'm an old lady of 62 but spent a happy 3 hours there and was fascinated.

“Great way to spend an afternoon”

If you're at any way inclined or even remotely curious as to how things work then don't miss this museum. It has a wide collection of all things technical like engines, satellites, phones and there are interactive buttons to push and play with. Don't miss the pendulum at the end of the musuem, there is also a full size F1 car. Great way to spend an afternoon.

“Science, technology and measurement”

A super museum with a couple of early aircraft, cars, beam engines, transportation of all kinds. Demonstrations given by the staff were good and the whole place is filled with lots of technological history. Only drawback for me was the lack of places to sit down for a moment!

“Mostly Lame, Foucault's pendulum was nice”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

This museum is housed in a nice building, but that's nothing special in Paris.

Whilst there are some nice exhibits such as a working example of Foucault's pendulum in the Chapel, the exhibits were mainly in the form of models. Model cars, model trains, model planes, model architecture components, model satellites.

A far better museum for scientific contraptions etc is definitely the Teylers Museum in Haarlem, the Netherlands.
