My first visit to Les Degres (sourced via Tripadvisor) Stayed here for four nights over Christmas.The cold and snow did not affect our stay as the Hotel is in such a good location.
Our room on the first floor was small but not uncomfortable for a four night stay (excellent value) we were informed of this prior to our arrival. Whilst there, the staff were kind enough to show us other rooms in the Hotel which are more spacious - all the rooms are uniquely decorated and furnished.
If you are looking for a hotel in Paris that has all of the 'usual facilities' and you are used to the 'Chain Hotels' I suggest that Les Degres may not be for you. Personally after several vists to Paris in the past. I would not stay anywhere else.

We also dined here and the quality of food that comes out of it's tiny kitchen is quite amazing.
ALL of the staff were friendly, helpful and we were made to feel very welcome
Paris can be very expensive, the Beer/Wine/ Food prices at Les Degres are VERY reasonable.
If you are visiting the Latin Quarter, take the time to visit Les Degres. Sample the food and ask to see the accommodation. You may be very pleasantly suprised

Just got back from a wonderful anniversary week. The location of the hotel is great. You are two blocks from a metro station, right by the Notre Dame. Area where hotel is located is very quiet and safe, even though area surrounding it is bustling with activity. We were in room 24 which is very charming. My only suggestion for this room would be a set of drawers to store your clothes. There is a closet and big table. Bathroom is roomy with double sinks.

The charm of this hotel is the people and breakfast. I loved going downstairs for the complementary breakfast. You can go anytime from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. And everyone is so friendly. The staff is very helpful, helping you plan your day or giving directions. Hotel was completely booked by people who were all well traveled. I felt like I was somehow in the know, booking this hotel. Will return in the future.

I researched for many a long hour a Paris hotel to celebrate my wife's big birthday - it had to come with character, great location and quirkiness and Les Degres de Notre Dame did not disappoint at all. Although we did not get one of the advertised (and commented on) rooms, ours was more than acceptable and roomy, with an artist's bohemian, but never shabby, touch. Breakfast was good too and the position...just leaving a hotel and walking is a great experience. No need for metro or cab. Charming and recommended, at at 120 euros for a night not bad at all.

I loved this beautiful little hotel-- the location is great, it's adorable (with lots of old-world charm), the breakfasts were great, and the reception was friendly (overall). I would definitely recommend this place. My one hesitancy involves the stairs. The rooms are accessed via a very narrow and uneven wooden staircase. This could be very problematic if you are located on a high floor and if you are carrying big luggage.
