Just a few minutes walk from the nearest metro station and in an up market district of Paris, this is an odd hotel. The reception and breakfast area look as if they have been recently refurbished to an adequate standard, but beyond that the hotel looks very tired and could do with a complete overhaul. The rooms are typically small for this type of hotel in Paris and my bathroom was even smaller. To use the WC, I had to push the towel rails out the way and put my knees under the wash basin. The other side of the washbasin was the shower. A cat might have been able to use it, but I could not. The hotel is quiet, except for noisey revellers returning in the early morning, the corridors dark, the small lift stops between floors, so that you go above the floor you want and walk down a corkscrew staircase, not too easy with a heavy suitcase. The staff were cordial rather then friendly. The bed clean and comfortable, while breakfast emphasised the "petit" nature of the French "petit dejeurner."
