“We loved this location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

Quaint, clean, centrally located,Small rooms with suitably comfortable amenities.
Subway at end of street and near trains and buses.Hospitals, galleries and several historic sights within walking distances.Great restaurants and a Mcdonalds and KFC for dwindling funds.
Internet available (best to have own laptop) with compatible keyboard . One internet cafe within walking distance
.Several great shoppes (a fantastic inbond nearby)for ones needs or souvenirs.Other boutique type hotels nearby if this is full as its likely to be.
Not exactly close to airport so plan for traffic at rush hour.

Room Tip: Ask for room at either end of hallway but very little difference in layout..

“Very good hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

I've just returned from the NEH and have to say- i (almost) have no complain at all!
We were there for 5 days..maybe room is little bit smaller but it was clean and lovely!
After reading some other comments before..i have found that :
1. there is multi eletrical outlet in the room ( i have had my own and didnt use it at all)
2. it's not true that room are dirty and full of bugs ( we had room 22 on second floor and it was magnificent!)
3.clean sheets and towels every day!

only issue was thin walls so you could hear other people in their rooms...but, all in all... i would definitely stay in this hotel again without any doubt!

p.s e.tower is about 15min form the hotel so you can easily march to it, 5 min from the metro /serves lecourbe station/, 50m behind hotel is very nice boulangerie where you can find very tasty croissant and rolls, 100m far away is cheap market called monoprix.

“NEVER EVER AGAIN!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

What an experience! I met up with my mother and sister after a year apart in lovely Paris, day 2 of our holiday I noticed my credit card was missing from my luggage in the room, after a complete search of our room and our belongings, I went to reception to report my card was missing and then I met MRS. JUKES!!! RECEPTIONIST AND MANAGER! She was in NO WAY sympathetic to my predicament, she accused me of lying to the whereabouts of my credit card!!! She didnt give a damn and was sarkastic in her tone. The best advice I can give is NEVER TO BOOK A ROOM IN THIS HOTEL AS LONG AS MRS. JUKES CONTINUES TO WORK THERE. My trip to Paris was ruined because of her appaling attitude! This is not an exaduration, this is the truth!

“VALUE FOR MONEY”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2010

It's taken me 2 months to get around to writing this review, but here I go.

We read some of the reviews for this Hotel, Nouvel Hôtel Eiffel, and weren't to sure what to expect, the reviews were mixed and up to a point we wondered whether to stay elsewhere, but, I have to say that the Hotel was fine. We paid £310.00 for a 5 day break, staying 4 nights on a room only basis, and yes the rooms are small, but you're out virtually all day, and yes the rooms could maybe do with a freshen up with a coat of paint, but they weren't bad.

We had a room on the first floor, directly over the front door to the hotel, facing onto the street, and didn't find it noisy, I slept like a log, which is unusual for me when sleeping in a bed that's not my own!! The bathroom had been done up, and was lovely, quite a powerful shower and plenty hot water, we found the staff friendly and helpful.

We also found plenty bars, shops and eating places in the area surrounding the Hotel, as we were on a room only basis we picked up sandwiches and soft drinks in one of the several supermarkets and mini markets in the surrounding area for breaky first thing in the mornings, and we ate at night in the reastaurents in the area too, and found them all reasonably priced with good selections on their menus. My partner doesn't speak or read French so he struggled understanding the menus, I have O Level french so I could get by understanding what was on offer, the French don't seem to have menus in other languages, so this could cause a problem for some travellers. Can add in here that when walking around central Paris we came upon various street vendors and shops selling picnics for 7 euros, which we bought 3 days in a trot, good value for money, and you'd get a choice of things like a slice of quiche, or a filled baguette, or a pack of sandwiches, plus a slice of cake, or a pastry, plus a bottle of water, or a soft drink like a bottle of cola or fanta orange, then pick a spot and sit and enjoy!!

The Hotel is minutes from one of the main metro lines for getting around Paris, which is great, but we also sometimes walked into the centre of Paris, for example, the first morning we walked to the Eiffel Tower and it took us about 20-25 minutes, which is good for me as I am a slow walker, and 2 or 3 times we walked back to the Hotel after being out all day, so the metro isn't always necessary, depends where you're going.

We brought our travel kettle for the room, along with our double travel plug, which gave us plenty sockets for charging our 2 mobile phones overnight, and then used the double travel plug in the morning for my hairdryer and using the travel kettle at the same time, some comments about the rooms said there wasn't enough electric sockets but we didn't find that to be the case in our room, and as I said we brought along our double travel plug, which overcame any problem that we may have had.

At the end of the day, you only get what you pay for, we weren't expecting "the Ritz" standard - but for £310 for a 5 day/4 night stay, the Nouvel Hôtel Eiffel is value for money, and I would stay here again.

“Great location and comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

If I went to Paris again I would definitely consider this hotel again, it was very comfortable, in a great location, close to everything, whether by foot or by metro. We stayed in a double bed room, it was tiny, but we hardly noticed and the bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness of the room could have been better, but overall it was fine. We could have used more room in the washroom and a toilet paper holder and also if they offered in room coffee or something, that would have been great. Our overall experience at this hotel was good and the area even better. I love Paris!!
