“Friendly, cosy hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

Stayed at this cosy hotel for two nights in a twin room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming- seemed to genuinely care about their guests. Our room was off to the side of the lobby and lift and I was concerned it would be noisy, but it was very quiet. Our room had a door out into a little courtyard which was nice. Very close to a metro station, several cafes, and a wonderful high end grocery store. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were great- would happily stay here again.

“Good value for money (for Paris)”

Wife and I stayed here for 13 days in August. We booked a standard room which was small but manageable for two people. Small desk, small stocked refrigerator, luggage rack and armoire with ample hangers and shelves. Bathroom was small but very nice and clean with marble tiles, hair dryer and sufficient space for toiletries. The shower stall was excellent. Sliding doors which actually kept the water in the shower. Plenty of hot water and pressure. Room had AC which worked very well once we figured out controls. We only needed AC for 2 nights. Room was on the 3rd floor facing the street. Relatively quiet area at night. We were able to keep window open at night and heard little street noise (except in the morning when garbage truck briefly comes by ). Free wi-fi which worked every day. Hotel has a small but modern elevator. It will fit two adults and two pieces of luggage or 4 adults that want to get close and personal for a few seconds. The hotel was relatively quiet at nights but you can hear faint voices coming from other rooms. Not a real issue. We had 3 electrical outlets so we could charge all our electronics at night. We booked via email and paid much less than the stated price on their website. As our trip progressed, we stopped in a few other 3 star hotels to check prices and never found comparable hotel for less.
The immediate vicinity around the hotel seemed safe, quiet and clean but not really all that “quaint”. It’s not a café-rich area that one would want to stroll around. Really need to hop on the subway to get to those parts of Paris. Notre Dame is 4 metro stops away. Hotel is not really within walking distance of major sites (can walk to St. Sulpice and Luxembourg gardens) but it is a block away from two metro stations/lines, Sevres Babylone and Placide. This was very handy and we could reduce subway connections by selecting the best line for our given destination. We did not purchase the breakfast so can not comment. There is a small boulangrie two doors down where we could get assorted croissants before we started our day. Just down the street is the Bon Marche supermarket. It’s a high-end supermarket which has all sorts of interesting foods. You can also get croissants and other bakery items there as well. There is a café on the corner (Nemrod) where we had breakfast once. Also two cafés near the Placide subway stop where we also had breakfast (reasonably priced delicious ham & cheese omelets but beware of the $8 pressed orange juice).
Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and we would stay here again when we return to Paris.

My husband and I just got back from a 5 night stay in Paris, in hotel Sevres Saint Germain. We arrived at 10a.m. after a long night without sleep, and the fact that our room was ready for us really saved our first day in Paris! The room is a kinda small but is quite OK, and the free WiFi is a real purke!! The staff was really nice and helpfull and the room was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. The best thing is the wonderful location. We absolutely adored the neighbourhood, all the small cafes around and it was easy to go everywhere in Paris from there. In a nutshell, great value for the price we paid, recomended for a taste of real parisian living...

“Great location, good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

We stayed here for 6 nights in PAris. The location is EXCELLENT, close to two Metro stops and away from the bustle of most of Paris. Room was typically small, especially the bathroom, but that is expected in Europe. Boutiques were right around the corner. The value of the hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Skip the optional 15 euro breakfast- there is a boulangerie right next door that has a fabulous selection, and several cafes within short walking distance. Taxi to Charles de Gaulle was about 60 euros.

“Charming hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

We enjoyed very much our stay at Sevres Saint German. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean; however ours was a bit dark. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The location is excellent! The breakfast is not great value for money. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
