“Cute & Cosy”

It is a general rule that hotel rooms in Paris are fairly small, with prices increasing accordingly to size and lavishness. I also do not doubt that you probably could find slightly larger rooms at slightly lower prices, but considering the design, comfort, cleanliness and location of Hotel Tivoli Etoile, I though it was worth every single Euro - and trust me, I did a lot of research on Tripadvisor before selecting this hotel!

The location is fantastic for first-timer in Paris wanting to see the sights. The Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees is really a short walk away, yet the hotel's location on a small side street means its fairly quiet as well. I must admit it's not located in the 'prettiest' parts of Paris, but considering I only had 3 nights to do everything, I thought it was a great location for exploring the city.

The rooms are clean and cosy, and like the previous reviewer mentioned, they were perfectly formed. Everything you needed was there - closet space, desk, comfy beds, air conditioning, free wifi, a bath tub even! The room did not feel the slightest bit cramped, and while floor space is limited, we managed with our luggages not getting in the way too much.

The decor throughout the hotel was fun and cute. And the service was always good. For a tiny hotel, they sure had quite a lot of staff for the front desk! The hotel also helped us arrange our taxi for our journey to the train station, and when we arrived early (with notice), we were able to check-in without any issues (although we were lucky the hotel was not full). There is a tiny little lift which meant we could get our luggages up with enough ease as well.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't need such massive space or mind fun, colourful interiors. It's cosy, fun and I wouldn't mind staying there again :)

“Nice affordable central hotel with great service.”

We were in Paris for our Honeymoon and were very happy with the Tivoli Etoile. Yes, the rooms are not huge but they are very clean and have a good sized bathtub and windows that open to the street. They have nice l'Occitane bath products (not a huge selection but nice stuff - bring your own moisturizer). The staff were particularly helpful - especially Monica - and went way out of their way to get information for us. The breakfast seemed expensive at first (13 Euro) but the quality of food is good and the orange juice was the best we have ever tasted anywhere! There is noise transfer from other rooms but nothing that kept us awake - but we didn't have very loud neighbours.
The fact that the hotel was so close to the Charles de Gaule Etoile Metro was super convenient. If you land in CDG take the Air France bus to that station - it's less than a 5 min walk to the hotel and way cheaper than a taxi and less crowded and stair-laden than the Metro.

“Small but perfectly formed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

I stayed here for 3 nights on a room only basis, to meet up with friends already in Paris

It's biggest plus is its location, it's 3 minutes walk to the Champs Elysee & the Arc de Triomphe, the related metro station, RER & also the Cars Rouge hop-on, hop-off buses (26 euros for 48 hrs- buy tickets on board).

The decoration is modern & clean, all staff I encountered were friendly & helpful, especially the evening porters. The rooms were small but contained everything you need for a comfortable stay- a clean, modern bathroom with a good hairdryer, a safe, reasonably priced mini bar & flat screen tv, vouchers are also given for free wifi access (I didn't use this- can't comment on speed etc.), it was also air conditioned, a must in August. The bedding was clean & new, the room serviced daily, I especially liked the mini L'Occitane products in the bathroom & the large windows & juliette balcony.

The surrounding area felt very safe to walk in, & was surrounded by bars, cafes & restaurants of all types.

I would recommend using the AirFrance buses from the airport, I travelled via Charles de Gaulle, though they also run from Orly, it stops at (& leaves from) the top of Avenue McMahon on the Place d'Etoile, the hotel is 2 streets down on your right (less than a 3 minute walk), It cost 24 euros return (tickets from driver) & took around 45 minutes to transfer.

We also pre-booked a guided tour (from Viator) which included a 1 hr sightseeing trip by bus, a 1 hr boat cruise down the Seine & entry to the Eiffel Tower, it cost around £45 which turned out to be quite reasonable & I'd recommend it if you'd like to get your bearings & learn about the sights before you visit them.

One more tip (sorry!)- if you're using the metro or local RER during your trip buy a Carnet Dix (book of 10 tickets) at 12 euro 50 as opposed to 1 euro 70 per single ticket.

this hotel ticked all of my boxes- central location, clean bedding & bathroom & pleasant staff. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel & use it again!

If you land in Paris In Beauvais airport it will take you only 15min walking from the bus terminal. More trouble by metro (stairs at the stations which are not ok with luggage)
Smiling people at the concierge and were very nice to let me find the room ready early in the morning
My room was21 on 2nd floor. Maybe small but i think is the rule in Paris, anyway very well planned so good enough to stay. I only spent time for sleeping :)
Breakfast in the morning is very well presented with mix of continental and english brakfast(no sausages tho' ), perfectly clean.
From the hotel it takes only 2 min to get to arc de Triomphe and metro/RER station
Area pretty safe to walk around late in the night.
Only thin to point out they don't check very carefully if you are entitled to ask for a key (a couple of times they didn't ask my name) and same when you leave the baggage. When you go back to pick it up you do it on your own so if you want....you can take as many pieces as you want and you like

“Very good rooms, service and location!”

This was the 5th or 6th time we stayed the night in Paris and this hotel was great. It is located in a short walking distance from the Arc du Triomph metro station. The service was really good.

The service is great! When we arrived they had all done already and provided us with 2 internet connection users. We informed we would need a high chair for the baby for breakfast but they didn't have one at the hotel. They checked with other hotels and in a few minutes they called my room informing a high-chair would be availabe at around 8:30. I've said we would probably have breakfast earlier but it was ok. After a few minutes they called again and said the chair would be there from 7am. Next day it was there, as promised.

Breakfast is simple but very good with high quality and fresh products.

Only things to comment in addition are that the room was quite small but according to Paris standards and in the first night we heard some noise when people arrived in the room next to ours.
