Busy location on the ring road but rooms at the back are quiet. Access to the garage is through a narrow doorway so suitable for small cars only. Efficient restaurant geared to business travellers so flexible around courses and quick turnover. But be warned - outside the old town Le Puy is busy and scruffy with shifty-looking characters hanging around under the bridges so don't expect spiritual peace or old-world charm.

This is a charming hotel with very basic rooms: clean, quiet and fairly priced. Only complaint would be the thermostat can only be controlled by the front desk so you have to call down every time you are hot or cold --- and they don't give you the number to the front desk upon check-in so it took 2-3 times until we figured out the system.

The staff is very friendly and helpful -- for Americans who do not speak French, many of the staff we encountered spoke basic English -- two women at the front desk were fluent.

They offered parking but word of caution: small cars only. The driveway is extremely narrow. A bargain at only 5 Euros for the night!

Did not use restaurant/breakfast, hence neutral feedback. Rooms were clean, but decor was very, very outdated. Did not look like rooms had been refurbished in over 20 years (saw more than one room). Our booking (in which we clearly requested double room, and this was direct via InterHotels) was not read, and so we had the wrong room. The receptionist queried our request, even though I had it printed in black and white from one week before. She also neglected to give us the entry code for the hotel, which luckily another member of staff gave us later by chance.

The hotel in general was ok, but a smashed window was not cleared up properly, and glass was left on the floor next to the outdoor dining area for 2 days. The advertised parking was very narrow, limited, and full of rubbish from the hotel. All in all, not great, and I would not recommend it.

We arrived on a sunday at the end of a big celebration in the city so the trafic was awful, but we found the hotel on the mainroad just outside the old city. The room was not big but sufficient, the bathroom was big. It was a good restaurant and perfect service.
