“Very nice hotel with safe private parking.”

What can I say? I must admit i never liked Ibis, even though i never even stayed there. Must be their image or my preconceptions. Anyway. We arrived in le Puy en Velay after a 10 hour drive and this was the first hotel we saw. I checked tripadvisor and we decided to stay here. Very nice and clean room, safe private car park, not expensive, good breakfast, near all the sites, friendly staff. What more can you ask for? I recommend this hotel.

“Typical Ibis, Good location”

The strenght of this Ibis is its good location for visiting Le Puy. This Ibis is a franchise and needs a 'de-stuffing', ie a modernisation. The employees (owners) should be a bit more friendly. They should also make sure that their personnel recognises the sign DO NOT DISTURB before barging into a room early morning.

“My stay at Puy en Velay”

The reception staff were very professional and helpful. However the room was quite small and could have benefited from provision of a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities; also, as the summer climate is hot, a fridge with cold drinks or provision for guests to store their own cold drinks would be helpful.
I would recommend the hotel as a clean average hotel but would warn friends of its limitations. I have decided that two star hotels are not for me in future and that I will only book 3 star as they provide more facilities.
