Comfortable, clean, quiet room where we stayed 2 nights. Polite, attentive staff, good restaurant and free parking when space is available. A 10-15 min. walk to the town centre. Lots to see in the Puy-en-Velay.

The outer architecture of the hotel is very UK 70’s concrete but the welcome is very genuine and helpful. The hotel is about five to ten minutes walk from old town and there is free parking at the hotel. The room was very big with a separate toilet and shower room. We were lucky with our balcony which faced into the setting sun although the view was nothing the sun and a cold beer or wine was great. The room did have a mini bar which we did put our own wine and beer into, there was also a TV in the room. We did not eat at the Hotel but there is a great restaurant called Marco Polo which in the old town which served very good food.

We picked the hotel at random, knowing nothing about the town and were pleased both with the Chris'tel and Puy in general.

It is a solid three-star hotel that met and exceeded expectations. Extrremely friendly staff, comfortable rooms, although in need of a lick of paint or two, I would have to say, but a good size and adequately appointed.

A very convenient location, almost adjacent to the fabulous local park, and only a 300 metre walk to the Old Town which is really wonderful!

Breakfast was fine, the usual buffet, but of a noticeably good quality.

All in all, a good stay, and I shall be back.
