We stayed three nights here late September.
The Hotel is in a semi urban setting with a Lidl across the way and a Renault dealer next door. However, the hotel had a pleasant outdoor area, nice heated pool and clean reception and small bar area. Breakfasts were resaonable at €8 PP and the choice was ample and of reasonable quality, except unusually for the coffee!
However, the great let down were the rooms. Bland, spartan and small, bathrooms were the same only more so and for €70 per night this was too much. They were however clean. We had an Ibis at Heathrow for one night on the way home for half this amount and was bowled over with the quality of the rooms in comparison!
The Donibane offered a TV in the room and a phone but no tea/coffee, air con or cool air fan very basic soaps and no luxuries of any kind, room service was not available either.
One bonus ( to some) was that the hotel would accept pets however. The car park was also amply sized and free.
Beaches were close and the town is 7 minutes away, the motorway was accessible in about 4 minutes.
Overall we were all disspointed with the rooms but enjoyed the other aspects of the hotel such as the outdoor seating area and generally friendly staff.
Finally, beware if you are a light sleeper... ask for a room to the rear!
Overall poor value but with a makeover and bigger rooms this would be a pleasant hotel to stay at short term.
