My husband and I stayed at this hotel while I attended a conference at the Pau conference center. The conference center was a short 15 minute walk from the hotel. A continental buffet breakfast was included with the room rate, which was adequate. This hotel offers good value as it is in the median price range, is located close to shopping and restaurants and has free, off street parking. Room was comfortable, fairly quiet and clean. Bed was typical of France, hard and low to the floor. Free internet access was also included which is becoming more rare. Overall we were happy with our stay. There are two very good restaurants on Le Tempe street - an italian and Tapas bar we defintely recommend.

The hotel itself is nothing special, but you will find friendly staff and excellent service here. On top of that the secure parking is free.

The hotel is situated close to shopping area and most sights in Pau. Immediately outside the hotel you will find a couple of shabby bars, but not a big issue.

Our room overlooked the courtyard and was quiet. Very clean and with everything you need, including coffee maker. The free wifi worked fine in our room.

Breakfast at EUR 10.50 is ok for what you get, and we would definetely return to this hotel.

For the price you pay you have everything you expect, cleanliness, a good bed, mini-bar that works, AC, quietness, free parking place, even a stool in the bathroom ( most four-star hotels don´t have one ). The staff was very helpful and pleasant so I intend to stay there when I return to Pau.

The room I was allocated was one of half a dozen set apart from the others with a separate lift. It was badly in need of redecoration, being rather dark and with yellow walls. However the bed was comfortable and the hotel served its purpose by having what was the main reason for my chosing the hotel, secure private parking, which was essential as I needed to keep items in the car overnight en route to Bilbao port.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English and the hotel has a bar. The area immediately outside is a bit sleazy if like me you are a woman travelling alone, as there are a couple of bars which seem to attract the local drunks, but you only have to go a few yards to the main shopping area (fantastic shops).
