I was hesitant to book this hotel based on it's bad reviews, but decided to take a chance and book it since it was recently renovated. The service is pretty nice, the location is central, but what they added in on our bill really left a sour taste at the end of it all. I took nice photos of the room, and was gonna give it a really nice review, since every business deserves a chance.. Until I received the bill...
We had ordered in room service to the room TWICE. Once for dinner, once for breakfast. When we left the hotel, the bill came up to 197 euros ++. We didn't have any idea what it was for, since it was all in FRENCH. We asked the guy what they stood for, and he said, well, "scrambled eggs, water, etc". He was reluctant to elaborate, so we paid in cash and left.
Upon leaving, I scrutinized the bill in the car and realized we were charged for 2 quantities of "petit de jeneur" - (23 euros x 2), per day. We stayed 2 days, so that equals (23 euros x 2 x 2 = 92 euros).
Basically, our room service cost should have only amounted to 100 euros, but we overpaid by 92 euros, in cash. After googling what "petit de jeneur" meant, we found out it stood for "breakfast". WTH! We never even stepped into the restaurant ONCE in 2 days. We had room service, once for dinner and once for breakfast, and all of those charges were stated out on our bill as "supplement petit de jeneur". If we knew we were being charged for breakfast, we would never have ordered room service, right?? They didn't bother to clarify or take it off our bill.
Additionally, the first day when we arrived at the hotel, we arrived at 12 midnight. How could I have breakfast when I arrived at 12 midnight?
Despicable. Never set foot in this place again.
