After 7 days in Germany and Austria, we showed up in Strasbourg without reservations. Given the Christmas markets day of reservations were hard to come by. We were hoping to stay at under a $100 for the night after all the market shopping.
We settled on Victoria Garden after a good 45 minutes of searching online. The staff, with the exception of one young lady, was not especially friendly or helpful. The wifi was a euro for one hour or five euro for 24 hours...only it wasn't working while we were visiting. The room was large and marginally clean. I found hairs in the awful stiff scratchy sheets. The curtains were covered in a brown grease and were just barely hanging on the wall. There was a large dirty hand print on the wall...a nice touch. The bathroom was the worst part....please replace the disgusting shower curtain! 2 skimpy towels per room is hard for two adults. Hand towels would've been nice. No hair dryers or irons for the rooms.
It is not in the main drag of the town but if you don't mind a 10 to 15 minute walk it is doable.
Parking is not included but there is a garage a few blocks away.
The carpets in all the halls are absolutely disgusting. Stained doesn't even begin to describe the carpets.
