We found parking in a public garage close to the hotel. As the hotel name suggests it is close to the train station.

The hotel price was high as we visited on a Saturday when the Christmas Market was on. The market was spread across the city and had a lot of food and drink stalls but so many gift stalls. It was very busy, so much so it was difficult to move around the market by the cathedral. Strasbourg dresses it self up nicely for the holidays and it had nice festive feel.

Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet despite, bring on a busy road. The bathroom was a little tried in décor but had a full bath with a shower above.

There are plenty of eating options close by.

Overall would recommend but not good value in Christmas market season.

Perfect location, if you have an early train out of Strasbourg, Room nothing special very comfortable and clean, very nice walk to the center of town, there are quit a few decent take away joints near by and the park across from the hotel is prefect for relaxing when the sun comes out

Note: At the service desk there are small business cards for restaurants, by chance had a card for a restaurant that was full, yet as they saw the card they made sure there was a table free and provided welcome drinks, which I was very appreciative of.

Strasbourg a very nice city and you can walk around or cycle for ages exploring the city. The European Parliament is must to see

Small hotel with not so spacious but very nice and clean rooms. Staff is nice, food good and it's location is great; close to main rail station and close to buss stop.

Across the park from the space-age looking Central Train Station the Mercure is a short cobbled walk to all the sights of Strasbourg. When we booked our deal included breakfast but this was disputed at check-in and the Manager wasn't going to budge even when I showed him my booking form.

The rooms are well appointed and ours overlooked the park and station. We never ate at the hotel but there are numerous restaurants close-by specializing in the porky delights of Strasbourg.

I would definately stay there again but just don't expect breakfast.....
