Situated near "gare centrale" just near the city center. very nice architecture inside the hotel lobby.
Very good servicea a nice view from the room.
The hotel is literally just across the road from the train station. Noise was not a problem - good doulbe glazed windows and the heavy curtains blocked out the light. Room was spacious and clean. It had a safe. The towels were nice and thick with various complimentary toiletries. Friendly receptionists, who spoke English and French. There was a nice bar with a modern lobby with free Internet. Breakfast was Euros 14.90, which was rather expensive considering there were plenty of cafes nearby where one could eat for a fraction of that price. As you come out of the railway station and turn right there is a MacDonalds, but by the side of it there is another cafe, which looked nice. We went into the one across the road from it by the bus station. It was a bakery with a cafe. Lovely food and drinks all at very reasonable prices. Walking into the centre of town takes maximum 10 mins. There are plenty of restaurants if you wander around. The town was quite empty as the tourist season had not yet started. Things start at Easter. There were plenty of little supermarkets in which to buy drinks and snacks. Strasbourg is a very pleasant town with plenty of timber framed houses.
Great Location! In general Strasbourg is expensive for something nice!
This hotel was of a good standard. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathrooms were well equipped. There was free wireless. Breakfats was 14.90 euros extra but was a substantial offering.
The train station entrance is literally across the road. We found it perfect for getting the train in the morning.
They had BBC news channel.
With the curtains closed, the room was very dark.
Arriving there by car was a little tricky, we had to go further on and turn off to get out our bags and drag them back. So that isn't ideal. Stop before you get to the hotel as it is hard to afterwards. Then finding your way out of the streets afterwards was tricky.
The walk into the old town is reasonable allowing easy touristing.
The food options very close were pretty basic. I think you would need to walk back into the old town for a decent meal.
A good hotel, stylish architecture and interiors. Staff very helpful and friendly with good local knowledge. Excellent choice at breakfast. All very clean and well maintained. Quiet nights.
