“You get what you pay for...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night whilst going to a concert in Manchester. We booked "room only" as we intended going out for breakfast. The room was a standard double room and was very clean and modern. The bathroom was large in comparison to the bedroom but the double bed was the smallest double bed I have ever seen. It was also very soft and we kept rolling into the middle of it during the night. Neither of us had a good sleep. The reception staff were very friendly and attentive though.

“Good hotel in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The hotel is close to the Manchester Art Gallery, Bridgewater concert Hall and NERO cafe. I booked a twin bed room because my daughter joined me for a weekend and was very satisfied with how roomy both the room and bathroom were. The only hitch was that the corner room 219 was very cold; I think there was something wrong with the heating system, I reported nonfunctioning towel rail in the bathroom, a maintenance man arrived promptly but informed me the whole unit will have to be replaced. It's a pity I wasn't offered another room straightaway but only 3 days later when it didn't make sense to move anymore. The staff was professional, I have found especially helpful the doorman Dodge - thanks a lot for getting me a box to send DHL package.

Room Tip: In winter, try to avoid corner rooms.

“great city centre hotel & location”

Second time I have stayed here.
This was part Business/ pleasure as it was to enjoy a night out nearby with work colleagues in China Town area. Hotel is near junction of Princess St with Portland St for all who know the area
Booked thro Rates to Go & got a cost of £62 room only for double room.
Friendly efficient check in, I needed an area to conduct an interview late afternoon before I went out ,& was told to check out the bar/ lounge area downstairs & that worked well.
Room was large with good sized bathroom, large room space with comfy double bed & a couple of easy chairs. Large flat screen TV , room also had good wardobe space plus tea & coffe facilities & also a safe & fridge both free to use.
Room overlooked back of the hotel but no noise from outside or inside was heard in all the time I was in the room.
I have paid £200 for rooms of this standard in London & will use the Arora again.

“Great hotel in great location”

I have stayed here twice during a business trip and couldn't be happier with the service, location and the rooms. The bar and restaurant are nice as well and the breakfast buffet is great in its variety. However, my favorite part of the hotel visit was the excellent service offered by Chris at the front desk. He is always cheerful and helpful and treats everyone like they are a member of royalty.
