“A pleasant stay at Noel Arms”

We found this hotel to be very pleasant with a large area on the ground floor divided into a pub with log fire, a conservatory and dining area. The rooms were traditionally decorated and very comfortable and the staff helpful and professional.

“New Year's Eve great evening! We might just repeat this next year!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

This was our second stay at Noel Arms (so obviously we like it). We stayed over New Year's with our teenage son in a family room. The room (2) was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and warm in the winter. The spa bath is very nice. There was plenty of hot water for all three of us, even with filling the tub for a bath or using the shower. The towels are big and fluffy and there is a heated towel bar which is very nice when it's cold.

Breakfast is superb and very filling. (You can skip lunch!) There is a table laid out with fruits, freshly made yogurt, cereals, breads, meats, cheese and juice. You can additionally have a full English breakfast, salmon, etc. I had poached eggs and muffins (very good).

On New Year's Eve morning we hiked to Broadway Tower (8-10 miles roundtrip). We returned in plenty of time to rest up for the night’s festivities. We booked the New Year's Eve dinner and were so pleased that we did. It was a five course meal (very good), and included champagne and canopes before the meal. Dinner was followed by music, dancing, and champagne toasts with a friendly group of people in the pub. We had a great time and I highly recommend it!

The staff is fantastic, especially Kelly. She helped us a great deal in our planning including sending us the train schedule. (They are ALL great -just don't know all of their names). They are very professional and take care of everything in a moment's notice.

Room Tip: Some rooms have better wi-fi reception. Just ask.

“Cotswold Weekend Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

My husband and I travelled to the Beautiful Cotswolds for a weekend break. We found the Noel Arms on the internet, and decided to take up the special offer of two nights, dinner, B & B. Having never before visited Chipping Camden we were not sure what to expect.
We were greated by probably the best receptionist in England! who escorted us to our room. (after being offered an upgrade - which we declined) She explained all we needed to know about the Hotel, their services and the surrounding area. Ten out of Ten ! The Noel offered a very warm welcome, the staff, the food and general surroundings are fabulous and very comfortable. Our room was quiet and cozy even with a gale blowing outside! The wallpaper and a few other bits and pieces need attention but all in all a fabulous stay for us. When one receives service to the standard offered at the Noel Arms - who really cares if the decor is a little below par. Well done all at the Noel Arms. We will be back.

“Great New Year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Just returned from a 2 night New Year break at this charming hotel. We had a gorgeous room in the courtyard (room 28) which was big and comfortable with a fabulous bathroom complete with roll top bath. Sadly my partner was ill with a virus and unable to join me on New Year's Eve having to stay in bed! The hotel staff were very caring and asked if they could send him anything to the room. The meal was excellent and the service first class, better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in. I joined in the celebrations enjoying the disco where staff regularly asked me if I was OK and enjoying myself. My partner was just about well enough to enjoy the lovely meal on New Years Day, delicious again! It is great to sit in the lounge and enjoy the coffee and home made cakes from the coffee shop. I love the ambiance of this old hotel which is unusual for me as I usually prefer more contemporary places and have booked to return in February, can't wait!

Room Tip: Our room did look onto the main entrance to the car park which may be off putting for some but not f...

“Christmas Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We arrived in the Noels Arms on Christmas eve to a lovely warm welcome, of a glass of champagne and mince pies. We were showed to our room, which again was outstanding, with as requested a view of the square. There was a Christmas hamper on the bed , and everything was clean , tidy and just as you would hope to imagine your room would be.As my wife is a vegitarian and guten free, we had already been sent menus by the chef to decide what selection of food she would like for her meals, the standard of food when it arrived was excellent, as were the hotel staff, nothing was too much trouble. If you are considering going to Chipping Campden , this hotel is a must to stay in or even to have a meal when passing through. We have already booked for next Christmas and will also be returning before that for my Birthday.A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time was had , thanks to everyone at the Noels Arms

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the square, although I think all room are nice within the hotel
