This was our second year running at this hotel and, once again, an enjoyable stay although this year the room smelt a little damp so probably needs some attention. Staff in the restaurant were again friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work

I have used Premier Hotels in the past and have come to trust the brand. This was the first time i have used the Swindon Central and I have to say that the location is a little hard to find but the satnav got me there in the end. My stay was made much more enjoyable by the cheerful and helpful receptionist Jodee. Having come away without an i-phone charger she found me one and lent it to me for the two nights of my stay. Little touches like that make the long days as a business traveller much more pleasant. Thank you Jodee. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed nice. Other guests were quiet and i had two good nights sleep. I have since been on to London where Best Western could learn a lot from this chain!!
arrived at hotel early, around 11, told we could not check in till 2 (receptionist didnt even check if any rooms ready), asked if we could leave bags, asked how big they were so left in car, taxi called to take us to town,, when returned to check in, separated from friends, although booked rooms together, our room was damp and wet, told unable to move due to being full, receptionist unable to help, manager arrived, very helpful, moved to new room, nice and clean, however the heating did not work, were given extra duvets and received refund, food great in restaurant, close to town,
I use premier Inn a few times per year for weekend/social breaks. I always find the standards excellent value for money. Swindon Central was no exception, everything about stay was great from reception to room standard and service.
I can't remember the name of the attached pub/ diner, but this met with good standard of venue and facility, the one downside was quality of steak served, wide choice on menu but the fish choices did not suit me personally so I plumped for Rib Eye off the special board, this was £12-£13 if I recall and was very tough, not matching up to what I would normally expect from restaurants attached to Premier Inn. the couple alongside comlained about their steaks and were politely offered a free coffee as recompense which they declined, I chose not to complain.
I stayed here for 1 night in Dec for a company Christmas party. The check in was very fast and we were given directions to our room.
Our first thoughts when we got to the room that it was very big, up to date and exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay.
The slightly odd thing was the room was booked for 2 adults but we only had 1 towel so good job we took our own.
In my opinon the bed was really hard so not the best nights sleep. The Bathroom and shower etc was all brand new and worked well with good pressure on the shower.
We ate in the resturant next door which was ok but wouldnt have a Christmas meal in there again in a hurry.
All in all for what was paid and what we needed it for it was good but a few little improvements needed.
