Well you get what you paid for.
Arrived at hotel to check in two rooms group of 4 of us.
First room was like the 3 bears. Someone has been sleeping in my bed. Room not made up from previous users. Returned to reception into the lift that had not been cleaned for weeks/months arises to take a picture and complain to head office. Staff obviously don't know how to deal with complaints.
Room has nothing that is not bolted down, no soap shampoo hair dryer nothing apart from one hand and one bath towel between 2.
When we checked in we asked what time the bar closes so we could have a drink before sharing the pillow, we was told the bar is 24 hours and would be available when we returned.
When we did return with another couple now 6 of us wanting a night cap, the very large (not tall) night porter decided that the bar was closed and refused to move himself from the position he had set himself for the next 6 or so hours.
To sum up.
Total rubbish spend the extra tenner
Breakfast was like being back at school waitin in line with your plates and cutlery.

i realise travelodge is a budget hotel to stay at but that shouldnt mean that the service is bad. many things have made the stay for me and my boyfriend bad at this travelodge.(staying overnight becuase of my graduation)

when we arrived 20 mins before the check in at 3pm they said we had to wait or pay an extra £10 to go into our room early. we also had to pay for parking £3 per 24 hours (luckily we were only staying overnight) on top of this the bed was very uncomfortable and uneven, one of the bedside lamps was missing and another light didn't work (when noting this at reception i was told that at least 1 light in every room never worked!) i also had to ask for an extra set of towels as only one were provided despite being booked for 2 people. the aircon in the room also didnt work - even though it was january the room was boiling! when asking if this could be fixed the receptionist said that none of the aircon units worked in any of the rooms! even in the height of the summer the rooms are hot apparently and only the heaters work.

Excuses were made for the simplest of requests, like when asking for extra pillows as the ones provided for were so thin and small they said that they didnt have any.

Overall i would say not to come to this travelodge. I would rather go to a premire inn where i have never had an issue. this is my first and last time staying at a travelodge.

Stayed for one evening here - room was pretty big, bed was two single ones pushed together and the sheets covered in stains - tv and bathroom were good location to derby for a night out is perfect Snd right next to the train station

We stayed at this wonderful travelodge for two nights over the new years eve and what a bargain we got £40 for two nights ! We had room 305 overlooking the pride park stadium and frankie and bennys and got an amazing view of the fireworks new years eve ! The room was very big with king size bed very comfortable and the walk in shower was massive and so easy to use ! We are a very romantic couple and the shower and bed and location all restaurents close by was amazing this is best travelodge we have ever been too will go again soon cheers mike and sue xx
