we tried to find a b&b in donegal town on the day.
went to see a few houses in the town and much disappointed
by the quality, price and owners.
find this b&b in a book, looked like its outside the town but
you could easily walk to and from the town centre ,its near the craft village.
much cheaper then the b&bs in the town and better view.
our room was big enough for a family with 2 children.
breakfast was fine and plenty.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at the Island View B&B- The room was nicely furnished and spacious and most of all clean. The view was incredible and we did have light rain but it didn't hamper the view of the lake with the island. The shower was hot with good pressure. Breakfast was also delightful. Donegal, as a whole was my most favorite place in all of Ireland. I can't wait to go back.

This four-room guesthouse just outside of Donegal Town is set above the road, and reached by a long sloping driveway. The weather while we visited didn't let us enjoy its advertised views.
The owners were helpful with restaurant recommendations and driving directions. The full Irish breakfast was served to order and quite delicious. While our hosts were a bit reserved, they were friendly.
This quiet and inviting place provided en suite baths, and a restful overnight stay. The room itself was a bit on the small side, but clean. The rate of 34 euros (off-season) was good value.
