“simply splendid hotel and staff congratulations to you all!”

Harveys Point was superb location, the staff and service were excellent, and our room was
the size of a football pitch...the restaurant and gourmet food was simply wonderful.
when we arrived I was so enthralled with everything that I phoned my daughter and her family
and they immediately set out from Dublin (3.5hours) to join us. The proprietor Ms Deirde Mc Gloin met with guests and was extremely professional and yet very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to all visitors, small touches provided by the staff were very much appreciated by us,
and I will return very soon for a longer visit.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the lake.

“Quality accommodation, quality staff and quality food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Everything about Harvey's Point smacks of professionalism, from the moment we drove through the entrance gates, to the reception we received at check-in, to the spacious and richly decorated entrance corridors, to the lavish bedrooms, to the friendliness of all of the staff and to the fantastic food served on both nights and to the fantastic breakfasts which included Donegal gammon (highly recommended), the Harvey's point experience is certainly worth a try. I can definitely endorse this amazing country house hotel no matter how short a stay is planned and I will definitely be back. As a gay couple we felt completely at home and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I especially liked the personal touch with Deirdre introducing herself to each and every guest over breakfast. This is no ordinary hotel and deserves all the accolades it has received.

Room Tip: there are lake views and mountain views - you decide!

“Congratulation to Deirdre and all the team...”

This was our second time to visit harveys point, though first for a 'burns' night, which was a great success, and is a great credit to Deirdre and the whole Mcglone & Gsyling clan,
From the most knowledgeable chairman to the poems and speeches from the younger members of the family, a most enjoyable night was had by all,
Just as was with our first visit, the whole harveys point experience is one of hello's and smiles, especially the very kind lady at check in on Friday evening, and indeed again on Sunday morning, to mention but a few,
So thanks again and will no doubt see you again on another occasion.........

“The Best By A Country Mile!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

My Wife and I are just home from an overnight stay at Harveys Point, a Christmas Present from our Children, we have been to the Hotel before prior to the extension work, so we knew roughly what to expect in terms of standard and service. On our arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a Superior Room, now we would consider ourselves to be reasonably well travelled people, we have stayed in decent Hotels in a lot of Countries around the world...... We have never stayed in a room like this in any Hotel ANYWHERE. The long entrance hallway leads you into either a walk in dressing area on one side and a very large bathroom on the other side which includes a jacuzzi bath, twin wash basins, bedet, toilet, shower and a vanity area for the ladies, then into the main bedroom area, take your pick, 2 Double beds, writing bureau, settee, 2 easy chairs and a large flatscreen tv, all in a room the size of some apartments. After a couple of drinks in a very comfortable bar we were ready for our evening meal, although we knew there was a large gathering for a "Burns Night" function in the other room, the standard of service we received was excellent. The food was fabulous, each course from starters to the cheese board was delivered to the table without any big wait in between courses. Any complaints......Yeah, we will get them to book us for longer next time.

Room Tip: Rooms with even numbers are the ones overlooking the courtyard and would have a veiw over Lough Eske
