My Wife and I are just home from an overnight stay at Harveys Point, a Christmas Present from our Children, we have been to the Hotel before prior to the extension work, so we knew roughly what to expect in terms of standard and service. On our arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a Superior Room, now we would consider ourselves to be reasonably well travelled people, we have stayed in decent Hotels in a lot of Countries around the world...... We have never stayed in a room like this in any Hotel ANYWHERE. The long entrance hallway leads you into either a walk in dressing area on one side and a very large bathroom on the other side which includes a jacuzzi bath, twin wash basins, bedet, toilet, shower and a vanity area for the ladies, then into the main bedroom area, take your pick, 2 Double beds, writing bureau, settee, 2 easy chairs and a large flatscreen tv, all in a room the size of some apartments. After a couple of drinks in a very comfortable bar we were ready for our evening meal, although we knew there was a large gathering for a "Burns Night" function in the other room, the standard of service we received was excellent. The food was fabulous, each course from starters to the cheese board was delivered to the table without any big wait in between courses. Any complaints......Yeah, we will get them to book us for longer next time.
Room Tip: Rooms with even numbers are the ones overlooking the courtyard and would have a veiw over Lough Eske
