“Very basic”

This hotel is very basic. If you need just to stay for a night after drinking session its fine :). But mind you there's no romantic feeling in this place at all. It was quiet clean, but that is it. And coffee in restaurant was horrible :(

“Good locality”

Again couldn`t find accommodation until a local told us about this place. Good price, great food and great location. I don`t know why but we were given a family room, which was very spacious and lovely and clean. The food we had here was very nice. Seems very popular, as the two nights we were here they were very busy. Two minutes walk and we could catch the bus into Cork, which suited us as we didn`t want to drive. Heaps of parking as well. Would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

“Commons Inn is for us”

We have been staying at the Commons for many years. The Commons is a family run establishment and run very well at that. Customer care has been the hallmark of the owner and staff in our experiance. The rooms are spacious and can accomodate a family of five without the room feeling cramped. Tea and coffee facilities, trouser press, are available to each room. Shower is powerful and rooms are always warm. The bar in the Commons is always lively with music at weekends. The food is always excellent and very reasonable. The very large bar is also great for holding birthday parties etc. All in all the Commons is a great place to stay, and we will continue to stay whenever we are in Cork. Pat & Marie Clare

“Ok when on business, not for the family.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

Stayed for 2 nights while on business. Unfortunately, room was at the front on the ground floor, so had all the noise from the Mallow dual carrage way. Tried for a room at the back, but was told they were fully booked.

Had dinner both nights in the bar and found it and the staff were excellent. Plenty of parking and you have Macdonalds and Topaz garage a 3 min walks away.

No wifi in the rooms, have to go to bar or public area near reception. The receptionist said it should be working in the rooms and she would get someone to look at it the following day. Their websie states it is onbly available in public areas, so either the website or the receptionist are wrong!

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room at the back of the hotel
