“Best Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

What's superb about this hotel is it's location on Lapps Quay, beside two great restaurants that makes dining out so easy

“Service sets the Clarion apart”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I stay here regularly and although it lacks a little character being a very modern building, it's sleek and modern atrium, rooms and super-friendly service are more than a good reason to stay. Coupled with the excellent location on the quay in Cork and being adjacent to some decent restaurants, it's convenient too. Rooms are spotless and comfortable, with older TVs but as a UK resident I appreciate the fact that they have BBC1 & 2 for those evenings where I don't want to work. There is a great bar with a choice of bar meals including Asian cuisine from the in-house restaurant. Breakfast is excellent, with a good choice of cooked breakfast items, cereals, fresh fruit bread and pastries. Try and get a room away from those right at the back of the hotel if you like privacy though as they look directly into office buildings about 10 feet away. In conclusion, it's just nice to be greeted by a smile and a genuine will to make your stay comfortable away from the hassle of business travel.

Room Tip: Stay away from the back of the hotel, as offices look right into your room from a few feet away.

Stayed for weekend in this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel in great location, city centre, ideal for shopping. Rooms generous and clean, good housekeeping service and some lovely touches - turndown service, welcoming fruit platter in room, complimentary chocolates. Staff could not be faulted, pleasant and helpful, Nice leisure facilities with towels available for hotel patrons. Full irish breakfast served buffet style and nice fruit bar and pastries. If I had one complaint it would be that maybe breakfast could be extended to 11:00am at the weekends. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice location to stay in cork city.

“Back to its normal standard......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I had previously reviewed this hotel late last year less than favourably. However, I am pleased to report that it is back to its normal standard and I have no complaints. I do enjoy staying here and always feel welcome and well looked after. I only had to ask for something to find it was delivered to my room. It was helped by being upgraded to an executive suite, though. But thanks to all the staff and I look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: If you are staying for more than a few nights, ask for an upgrade to a larger room if possible.

“Good Comfortable Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I often stay here on my trips to cork and it is the hotel of preference.
They have a good bar, mostly nice staff, very good rooms and decent breakfasts.

They sometimes have their blips, but the manager is often willing resolve the matter as soon as possible.

I would recommend this hotel if your staying in cork.
