I was in Ireland for my honeymoon. This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. And that includes Europe and America. Never again!

The Ashford Court is not a hotel at all, and I have stayed in B&Bs that are much closer to a hotel than this place. On arrival (late at night) there was no one at reception. I phoned the hotel number, and I think I spoke to the owner who directed me to where my key was left! Anyway, the bedroom was clean, bathroom was adequate. The bed comfortable, and there is some form of wireless internet, but it is very slow.

The following morning at breakfast was an eye opener. There is NO breakfast served in this 'hotel', and just one poor waitress/receptionist, servinf coffee (which was poor) and toast. That's it!

I would advise customers to book into a B&B or another proper hotel if staying in Ennis.

Room was comfortable enough - view was dreadful, no remote for TV and when we asked for one, we were given one for a different tv - obviously it did not work! Seems like this hotel is going down the tube - even their credit card machine was out of order. We booked this hotel as we were in the mood for some delicious Italian food and we read reviews of Juliano's...well - do not waste your time...they had one white and one red wine - both Blossom Hill, one of the cheapest California wines you could purchase - no wine list at all...5 items on the over priced menu - three were salads and no Italian pasta or pizza as advertised - the bar and restaurant were empty - even had the nerve to continue using their old paperwork saying how Juliano's was so highly recommended and the place to go by locals of Ennis...I doubt it...breakfast was dreary - no Full Irish but continental only available .....after being seated - we decided not to stay for dinner but went out to find a decent restaurant after explaining our concerns to the receptionist who also was the hostess and perhaps the waitress at dinner and worked in the dining room for breakfast...This hotel and restaurant should be removed from the 2010 Ireland Hotel and Guest Room book...avoid it for sure. The owner manager strutted around chatting with guests but did not seem to care as long as he had a few clients.

Used to e good, but won't go back. This place has sadly faded and it may be a long way back. Our booking (via an agent) came thru incorrect & hotel 'apparantly' fully booked, so some of our party had to return home!! Breakfast poor .. they do make full Irish (another guest had one but I had already eaten the 'continental' by then) but they dont adverise it & I believe only at weekends! Went to the bar @ 10.15pm, but it was all locked up for the night!Then after the cock-up on booking we had to argue long & hard over the settlement of the bill!! The rooms are OK, with a 'nice' view over the car park, bin shed & tumbledown buildings next door! We won't go again & neither should you!!
