Fairly standard fair in a nice clean, modern hotel in the centre of town with plenty to see and do right round the corner. Parking is in the nearby public carparks and wasn't a problem, but instructions on the website about parking would have been really helpful. Noisy TV from the interconnecting room, but no other problems apart from that

After a longer stay than originally planned, I have to really thank the proprietors and staff at the Holiday Inn Express in Hamilton. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and non-judgemental. The whole team, from the Manager to reception staff to housekeeping staff made us feel welcome and safe from Day One. I had often passed the Holiday Inn Express before staying there and thought it looked like a characterless building – just like any other travel lodge – I was wrong. Our rooms were spacious, always very clean and the free wi-fi on the ground floor was a godsend when dealing with insurance companies and contractors. As far as noise is concerned – apart from a few doors closing loudly between 7 – 8pm, we heard very little. Breakfast was better than expected – the standard is usually a cold buffet. Sausages, beans and scrambled egg as well as a wide selection of cereals, toasts and jams were the usual fare at breakfast - although we waited with baited breath every morning in expectation for the brilliant bacon!
I can’t thank the HI Express enough for making us so welcome. Having stayed in a few awful places for business as a single female traveller and feeling quite vulnerable…..I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel to any of my colleagues travelling to the Hamilton area. central location to shops, bars & restaurants. other reviews mention about noise in corridors, if like us your good sleepers you won't hear a thing!!

As a Gold member of the hotel loyalty scheme Priority Club, I've stayed in quite a few Holiday Inn Express. This is one of my favourites. I feel the most comfortable here. Still could improve though.

The car parking issue, and the long haul for luggage can be a problem, which once or twice was irritating - even when you know about it!

What I do appreciate is the choice of eating in the adjacent shopping malls, which gives a varied choice when staying here. Also with the cinema one can catch a movie.

I find the standard breakfast in the express chain difficult for people with a restricted diet. The fact that it revolves around bread, cereal and pastries makes it difficult to eat Gluten Free.

I enjoy the free WiFi in the Bar. The ability to be able to work at the computer and drink at the bar without going out is what brings me back here. Other Expresses should take note!
