We stayed at the Distillery Cottages for three nights in feb 2011. Despite average reviews, we found the stay great. About a 20 minute walk from town (which isn't that far!), the cottage is ideally sitauted for Ben Nevis and exploring the highlands.
Kitchen facitlies were great and there was ample parking.

We stayed in the Distillery Cottages last year and had such a good time we have booked again for this year. It is well situated near the town but not on top of the town. Excellent accomadation with all your comforts for self catering and good parking. We have stayed in hotels but recommend the cottage as you have all the space of your home and not just a small room that is to hot like what you would get in a hotel. Value for money in my eyes. We stayed for one week in mid September. It is a lot further from the town than they say, a good 25 mins walk, so you have to go a long wa y for groceries. Not one person came to change towels ALL WEEK. There was one day we came back and there was a long hair in the sink, god knows where THAT came from. Bed uncomfortable and bathroom so small you could not swing a cat!!!!!!! Would NOT recommend to my worst enemy.

just got back from Fort William and stayed at the distillery cottages found it a good base to stay while driving round the highlands, would recommend these cottages, We were very surprised when we arrived as they did look small, but there was more than enough room for the three of us they had everything we needed for relaxing after a long day out sight seeing. they were very cosy and close to the town centre, so if you wanted to stay in the area dont think you would find any better.
