This is a great hotel opposite Central Station in Glasgow and perhaps not on the best of streets but it is absolutely grand if you are looking for cheap accommodation that is clean and central. We had a really clean basic room with everything you need including a hair dryer etc. We checked in and the lady on the desk was lovely - so friendly and helpful and helped us with a few enquiries. It is a lively end of town so expect a bit of noise so if you can't beat em join em!! Well worth it if you are on a budget - we will be returning. Don't go for the breakfast option though as it is literally toast and cereal - so if you are looking for a good scottish fry up - go out for that ( nice cafes in Merchant city for that!) Don't overlook if you are thinking about it - great wee place!

Stayed here midweek at the end of November 2011. Paid £49 for double room. The hotel is actually right across the street from Glasgow Central station so the location is excellent. They have a car parking deal with the Q Park on Wellington Street - £7 for 24 hours.
First impressions are very good - the bar and reception area are very nice and the staff are very pleasant. The room itself is of a good "budget" standard so comparable with a premier inn I would say. A bit on the small side - bathroom very small too but I suppose space is at a premium given the location. The room was actually cold but reception supplied a heater no problem. All in I would say it was worth th £49 but I would not have been too happy if I had paid much more.

When on a night out all you need is a room with a bed, toilet, and a shower. The only important factor for me is cleanliness and this hotel was.
Our room was smallish and basic but fit for purpose. Theres a nice bar and all staff we met were friendly and helpful.
The only complaint I would have (and everyone always has one) was there wasnt hot water when having a shower at 11am the next day. But in fairness the cold shower was exactly what was needed after a heavy night!
Would probably stay again due to price and location

A group of us were attending a birthday celebration in town so were looking for a decent enough hotel to rest our heads at the end of a hectic night. We weren't disappointed! Artto was a pleasant hotel with friendly staff and a great bar area. The rooms seem to be different sizes, ours was quite small but not small enough to cause us any problems.
The location is perfect as it's right next to Central Station.
I didn't have breakfast but ordered a latte at the bar which was the best latte I've had in a long time.
We paid £59 for our room and it was definately value for money.
We will certainly use this hotel again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.
