Friday nights they do a deal 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £32 excellent value . The steaks are excellent and its a decent bottle of wine sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio .

Had a great 2 days here,check in was quick and efficient
Room was all you could ask for ,and not much noise from wedding functions,and had a great sleep.
Food and service was first class
Staff were friendlay and helpfull
Plenty car parking spaces
There was also a sign asking people not to smoke at hotel door entrance,which is a bit of a gripe at other places we have been to
Only negative was foud it a bit expensive

Good independent hotel and popular wedding venue. Spacious well furnished room. Ensuite with full size bath. Good restaurant, service enthusiastic but lacked polish. Menu interesting but asparagus and black pudding featured with both starter and a main course dishes. Disturbed by a fire alarm fault twice during the night, but the staff were calling the company to get it fixed when we were checking out. It looked as though a refurbishment had been started but some areas looked a little tired.

Room appeared alright when we went to bed,however the constant running in the corridors of staff or visitors left us with a sleepness night .

Just got off to sleep and were awakened at 0630 hrs by what sounded like an aeroplane engine starting up - looked out window and unluckily for us found we were above the fans from the kitchen.

Went to have a shower and was disgusted by the condition of the shower head,cleaners obviously have never heard of legionnaires disease.

Room was prepaid otherwise I would not have paid for room. Left a card for the manager of the Hotel to contact me but he never did .

Left the hotel in disgust.without breakfast,and will never be back.
