I recently accompanied my husband who was on a business trip and we stayed at the Beveridge Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy.
We were booked for 13 days, and when there was a problem with the original room, the owner of the hotel upgraded us to an executive suite for the entire stay, at no extra cost.
The room was comfortable and relatively quiet.
The bathroom was large with a heated towel rack and new facilities.
The room offered free wireless. There was a hot pot with tea/coffee available as well as an in room hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
The stay came with breakfast every morning, and we were treated like special guests each and every morning by the staff. We generally ate home made porridge (which was heavenly, by the way), but we opted for eggs one morning, and we could have had the traditional Scottish breakfast, but passed on that.
What makes this hotel the most attractive is its proximity to the train station. One only walks around the back of the hotel, crosses the street, and walks a block, and you are in the door of the Kirkcaldy Station.
The area is extremely safe, as it this hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, directly across from a church and within a block of a very beautiful park.
Rarely does one find such convenience in such a desirable location.
The station runs trains to Edinburgh several times per hour.
I highly recommend staying here.
