“Excellent value for money”

We stayed for 3 nights over Hogmanay. It is our 3rd stay in this hotel and we would definitely stay again. We arrived late at night and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to find, being on the edge of the eastern side of Glenrothes. Parking is free. The only food actually available inside the hotel is from a couple of rather expensive vending machines but there is a petrol station just over the road which sells M&S food, or a chinese restaurant next to that.
We found that the rooms were clean and warm and a big plus for us is that they accept dogs. We only paid £19 per room per night for our stay (with an extra one-off fee of £20 for the dog). That is such good value! That works out at less than £10 each per night. If I was being extremely picky I could maybe moan about the awful cheap loo paper BUT think about it - less than a tenner a night for a comfortable warm room with telly and full bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities - that is amazing value.
I also want to mention the cleaner - not sure of her name but she is a grey haired lady. She is absolutely brilliant - so pleasant, cheerful and helpful. A credit to the place.
We have not experienced any road noise however one of the nights there was someone above us making a lot of noise sounding like they were stomping about. Plus there was the rather erm 'amourous' couple next door ;)

“A Good Travelodge!!”

When you say Travelodge many people think they are all the same but having stayed in a few that is not the case. This stay was very last minute, we needed a place to stay for Hogmanay and New Years Day due to a change of plan. I booked on 30th December and got a room for Hogmanay for £30.25 and for !st January for £19.50 which I thought a bargain.
The receptionist on arrival was very pleasant and helpful, explained all the essentials and made us feel welcome.
The room was a Family room with the sofa bed with extra bedding if required. No issues with the room at all. Only niggle was the shower was a bit weak but this may be explained by the fact that the place was fully occupied! The temperature of the water was fine.
There is no restaurant attached but we were eating elsewhere anyway so that didn't matter. We did need a meal one evening however and we dropped in to the Golden Acorn which is a Wetherspoons pub in the town centre, I can recommend if you are looking for some good pub grub! I had a steak which I am usually dubious about in "Pub" situations but it surpassed my expectations!!
All in a very good stay, I expected it to be noisy due to the New Year celebrations but we didn't hear much at all!

Room Tip: Room at the back, no view but quieter than the front ( No view at the front either but you can peopl...

“Another good stay in Glenrothes.”

This is our 3rd stay in this Travelodge and have been pleasesd every time. Rooms are spacious and cleaners do a fantastic job keeping them clean.
Hotel situated across from a Chinese buffet place and a bp garage which has a small m&s food shop which is handy for snacks.
We were on the ground floor and the person in the room above was heavy footed walking about his room at 6am every morning of our stay which was quite annoying. Apart from that we had no problem with noise. We would recommend this hotel and will be returning again at some point in the new year.

great travelodge next to main routes and just on the outskirts of glenrothes. situated next to industrial estate but not too noisy with spacious rooms and we even had a bath as well as a shower in our bathroom. just across the road is a petrol station and a chinese buffet restaurant which does great tasty food. this is a great base from which to explore the fife area. st andrews is not too far away and is a beautiful town as is the smaller fishing town of anstruther, well worth a visit to both towns.

Room Tip: not sure if there is any one room quiter than the other as so close to the main routes but no harm i...

“Enjoyable stay”

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a local event. The Travelodge is located away from the town centre but is easily accessed off the A92. There is a 'chain' pub nearby along with a Chinese buffet restaurant and a filling station. The lodge itself was perfectly adequate in all respects - modern, clean and airy. The reception staff were friendly and, at c £55 per night, it was not excessively expensive. Would stay again if in the area.
