As a previous reviewer who stayed in the old part of the hotel (and then subsequently stayed in the much better new part) I was encouraged to stay again for longer stays due to the additional facilities, e.g. Gym/pool, and the fact that the company I work for now had a "corporate rate for deluxe rooms".
Mistakenly I thought deluxe might mean "always in the new part" but clearly I was wrong. Old part again this time and left wondering "what is deluxe"? Apart from larger bed I can see nothing. No mini bar, no power shower, no extra large LCD and not even biscuits every day of the stay. And the corporate rate seems little better than 10% off published rates. Still thin walls with sounds of blowing your nose and general talking and levels of cleanliness that are not perfect. Oh and a shower head that when you twist to try to get closer to the power shower experience just comes off - it seems good few years old! If you want to claim deluxe and take a premium for it you have to show something is deluxe.
For me, a weekly visitor to Glenrothes, it is back to my previous hotel. I did try!
