“terrible food,unclean resturante,disgusting toilets,scruffy staff”

the food was terrible went for the safe opption of scampi and chips because not a very good variety on the menu, the chips and the scampi were unercooked i had one bite and left the rest. The staff had no idea of service and very untidy dress sense. The decoration in the place is of very bad taste cheap pictures and very disturbing posters over the walls,not what you would expect in a Scottish countyside pub.
Definatley would not reccomend this place to anyone i know

“simple accomodation”

We stayed at the hideaway as attending a wedding close by, The website says £65 per double room with breakfast!! The breakfast was continental not your typical full scottish breakfast that we would have liked after being to a wedding. The only other dissapointment was that the breakfast was layed out just outside our bedroom door so we could hear the other guests talking outside our door so no privacy and people rudely wakened us.
Website should be updated about breakfast and for the owner to set breakfast up in an other area.

Did not use hotel on this occasion, would recommend here for quality food.

None of the microwave or boil in the bag stuff. Chef here knows what he/she is doing.

5* food at 3* prices.

12 out of 10!!!!!
