Arrived early with no parking...however, our room was ready and so was a parking place...brilliant as Edinburgh is a nightmare to park. Stayed two nights...great room and although busy, the hotel was quiet during the night. Bathroom big. Staff very helpful...usual high bar prices. Very good location, lots of decent restaurants...went to the opera at the Festival Theatre...just over the road. Didn't have breakfast as there were lots of places nearby.
Only drawback was the limited parking places...also, car boot was scratched perhaps by laundry been taken out.

I stay at this hotel on a yearly basis for meetings. The Hotel is well located and the rooms and general hotel area well looked after. The breakfast is plentiful and a wide variety. The reception staff are very efficient and on the whole the hotel is run extremely efficiently. Perhaps the efficiency of the staff comes over as impersonal - but really that is the latter of the individual I think.

Stayed for one night here in January and could find nothing at all to complain about. We were up-graded to a superior room, the greeting at reception was friendly and helpful and we paid a great price for it. Location is very handy for Royal Mile, Castle etc, although a longer walk to Princess Street. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel with a central location, this one is hard to beat.

We paid £75 for a saturday night without breakfast. The room was small but tastefully done and clean. It's about a 20 min walk into the centre of Edinburgh, hotel is located in a student area, plenty of take aways, cheap restaurants close by. Also nearby (about 5 mins) is a cafe where JK Rowling wrote part of the first Harry Potter book. All in all I think it was good value for £75
