“Happy Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

Brilliant, brilliant. brilliant. Fantastic staff, very helpful and friendly. Room was a delight on the top floor, had a view of the rooftops of Edinburgh and surrounding landscape. Great location if you like a 15 minute stroll into the centre. There are a variety of routes so there are always things to see on the way in.
This is our third trip to the city in two years and we have fallen in love with Edinburgh. If you like city breaks then you won't be dissapointed.

Room Tip: Top floor has great views

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2012

Great value hotel, spacious clean room with huge bed which was extremely comfortable. Staff were excellant all very cheerful and top marks to John in the restaurant who's knowledge on the local area and tourist attractions was second to none. Great location close to castle, grassmarket and royal mile.

“Second stay just as good as the first”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2012

This is the only premier inn I've stayed inn but to be honest, I couldn't care less about what the other ones are like. This one is brilliant, it may not be the most glamorous of hotels or the most expensive (which is obviously a good thing) but the staff make this hotel worth a 5 star rating. Whatever they get paid, they don't get paid enough, Breakfast is good value and the 30 minutes free wifi is good now. The hotel is in a good location just off the royal mile and is close to plenty of restaurants and pubs. So yeah, thank you to those at the Premier Inn Lauriston Place :P

Room Tip: Rooms further up and at the back are quieter

“Weekend city break - good place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

Good standard of accommodation, friendly staff, explained everything very well. Room size adequate (family room, kids beds stored under main double) - I've been in bigger rooms but to be honest we only slept there so it didn't matter! Evening meal very nice, good red wine on offer for £10 a bottle which I thought was good for a city centre restaurant. Breakfast efficient and well cooked, good choice of continental breakfast as well. The hotel is close to Princes Street, you could walk in to the centre of Edinburgh, we didn't as we had young kids but it wouldn't be a long walk. We did OK for parking as you can park in the street outside and the meter doesn't charge you after 6pm on a Saturday up to 8am on Monday morning. Other than that there's a local multi-storey round the corner, that would have been a little less convenient and more costly if the hotel had been busier and we couldn't have got a space outside.

Overall, very happy, would stay again.

“fantastic location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

overall positive experience. Spot on location for the old town area, royal mile, scottish national museum, grassmarkett.
Friendly staff, did help us when our family room was not on day of arrival by relocating us to another one straight away. This was a child friendly hotel.
The hotel has no parking on site but drivers will get a discount for the local multi-storey car park from reception.
Good breakfast. We ate at the restaurant twice and found it quiet and nice.
