“The perfect B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2009

If there is such a thing as a perfect B & B this is it!

Spotlessly clean, warm welcome, comfy bed and Mavis's home made cakes. Plenty of reading material in the room, clean bathrobe, towels and toiletries. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Mavis and Ian have compiled a comprehensive information pack about places to visit and local places to eat.

The Albion is easy to find from the City Bypass and is a 15 minute bus ride from the city, so you can leave your car behind.

Breakfast is wholesome hearty affair served on the best china; service with a smile and value for money!

I would recommend The Albion to anyone - I have paid a whole lot more for a whole lot less!

“Nothing is too much trouble for Mavis & Ian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2009

We stayed here two nights at the end of our Scotland trip. Although it's outside the city, there is a frequent bus into the centre of Edinburgh and it is close to the airport. Our double room had very modern ensuite facilities with flannels (luxury in a B&B). Pity we couldn't manage Mavis's home-baked buns! Mavis & Ian helped us to find our way around and gave us lots of tips. We should definitely have stayed longer.
