“Amazing Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

Stayed here in August last year for our anniversary and had an amazing time.
This hotel ticks all the boxes and is very Glam and stylish.
We had an executive room for a few nights that was spacious and very well designed with hints of red, the only downside was no bath, but the shower room was lovely.
We enjoyed the minibar and liked the fact that the hotel provided straighteners (although they should really clean these between guests as they were dirty when we arrived).
The food was great, we ate in the restaurant and had breakfast here and the cocktails were good too.
We booked a package that included tours of the city that was good value, and the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help.
My husband was actually sick when we were here (we don't think this was caused by the hotel) and they were very accommodating and allowed us a late checkout at no charge.
Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area.

“The Rutland Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

Excellent hotel, great location, very helpful friendly staff.
Dont let the outside of the hotel put you off staying there.
Superb rooms, lovely decor and a nice cocktail bar down stairs.
Lots of bars on Rose Street to visit....... it runs parallel to Princess street.
If you want to really push the boat out eat at the Angels with Bagpipes restaurant.
It's on the Royal Mile, expensive but worth every penny.

“Wonderful Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

My wife to be and I stayed at this highly recommended hotel for her Birthday weekend.
Fabulous Suite with a great view of the Castle (shame it was such a small window ,room 12).

The staff were fantastic and very helpful with a genuine smile on their faces always...
Bar downstairs was always busy with trendy financial district types.

he Kyloe restaurant upstairs was the best eating experience of my life (those chips cooked in beef dripping/ MY GOD ! AWESOME).

By the way ! I love this Hotel and will definately stay again and again....

Room Tip: Rooms were extremely hot, get a room with a large window if available....Room 12 had a tiny window...

“The best place to stay while in Edinburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Just came back from a great stay at The Rutland in Edinburgh. What can I say?? Great big beautiful rooms, with a big bath, really neat and clean, with the most helpful, smiling and friendly staff!! Breakfast is great, the beds are really good - there is nothing to fault on this hotel! And please try the Kyloe Restaurant for the steaks, you will not regret it!! Just remember to tell them that you stay in the hotel so that you get your 20 % discount :) Oh, and they also pull out the extras, because I had mentonied that it was our tenth year anniversary they had put a bottle of wine and a great big rose in our room upon arrival, at no extra charge, it totally made me speechless. The hotel is situated in a great place, you just step out and you are on the main shopping street, and you are also just a couple of minutes walk away from the castle and Royal Mile ( it is uphil to the castle , so regardless where you live, you will break a sweat;D ). I have stayed at luxury boutique hotels in Paris and Vienna too, but this is by far the best. Try it- you want regret it, and if you do- you are simply too picky ;D
