We got engaged at this hotel last year and decided that our last 'sinful' night away before marraige should be here. It was as we remembered, the reception and restaurant staff were extremly friendly and couldn't help us enough, they even did some photocopying for our marriage forms. We dined in the Rhubarb restaurant, we felt so relaxed in there that we didnt even notice 2 hours had passed. It was an atmospheric room, with staff serving the most delicious food. Afterwards, we went upstairs into one of the lounge areas, to sit back, relax and have tea and biscuits, next to an open log fire.... Not a television in site.
We stayed in the Alan Ramsay suite, it was a beautiful room, decorated in lavish antique furniture. On our arrival we had a bottle of champagne and fresh homemade cookies waiting on the table. We have been lucky enough to stay here twice and I would say that please dont feel you need to book into a suite to get a better room, we stayed in one of the luxury double rooms, which is probably their "standard" room - this was a fantastic room and large enough for a couple. Our suite had a seperate lounge area so if space is what you need then this will suit you.
We truely had a fantastic time away, every member of staff made it better in their own individual way. We would like to thank all staff for making it a fantastic place to stay. We will be back next year to celebrate our first anniversary, I can't wait
