I stayed here for 2 nights. You need to be careful to go to Hyndford Street and not Hyndford Place!
Room was good value (£25 per night for a single in March 2006, including full English breakfast), fairly small, with TV and basin in room, but no soap or shampoo. Tea and coffee making facilities were included in the room. I had to use a shared bathroom and I had to go through the breakfast room to get there, which was a bit embarrassing if you didn't want to dress properly to get to the shower in the morning. Not all rooms will be like that!
Breakfast was fantastic - full English breakfast with as much coffee and orange juice as you liked, plus, if you wanted it, cereal and fresh fruit.
Staff were very friendly. They have a dog, so if you don't like dogs, be warned.
It probably takes about 20 mins to walk to the centre of Dundee, but you pass shops etc well before that.
I would recommend it.
