The hotel staff were extremely helpful and really pleasant. The breakfast selection was very good. We ordered porridge each morning and it was freshly cooked. The decor is a little dated and could do with a face lift. The sound proofing between the rooms I found very poor which made sleeping difficult.

Stayed here past 3 weeks for work. Everything has been fine, no complaints. All rooms have been satisfactory so far. Room 21 could do with a new larger tv or a paiute of binoculars and a new mattress. Room 8 has one of the comfiest beds I've used. Breakfast has been fine. Good choice of decent food. I'd like to see heinz tomato ketchup. Leisure club is excellent. Great sauna, stream room n jacuzzi. Not used gym.

Just returned from a weekend break at the Cairndale. Got a good deal for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. This is an older hotel but its spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Stayed in room 4. A large room with a double and single bed. Large bathroom with huge bath . Room was very comfortable. Ate in Sawney Beans on both nights. Food was lovely , only complaint was, The menu was not very extensive. Could have done with another few options. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. The leisure facilities were good. Used the sauna jacuzzi and pool on saturday afternoon. There is also a very well equipped gym. The staff were all polite and unobtrusive. I would stay here again.

We visited this hotel in early January as a Christmas treat to each other and we had a great weekend. We found the staff all polilte and helpful in the hotel and restaurant. We found our room clean and tidy as well as we use the facilities which were also clean and tidy. We did not attend the entertainment on the Saturday night but did get review that it was a great night. We will return again to the hotel for an entertainment weekend and will be recommending to all family and friends.
