My wife and I stayed at the Firs for four nights in August 2010. The house is very impressive and imaculate throughout with extensive well kept grounds. It is also very quiet and secluded. Our room was a double ensuite and was very large and spacious, tea, coffee fresh milk and bIscuits were provided each day, a decanter of sherry and two glasses were also provided. Breakfast, which was chosen the night before from an extensive menu, was a feast itself , we didn't feel like eating again until evening!! On the day when we went fellwalking Mrs Bathgate provide a flask of coffee and some biscuits which we really appreciated.
Overall we enjojed our stay very much, and would not hesitate to highly recommend "The Firs" to others.
