I stayed at the Osmond guest house for a few weeks when I moved to the area through work. True it could do with a bit of money spent on it but its basically ok. The rooms were clean and all were equipped with digital tvs (3 of the 5 rooms are en-suit). I didn't have a bad nights sleep during the 7 or so weeks (mon-thurs) I stayed there and the hosts were pretty friendly. The worst thing about it is the showers, they really are fairly rubbish, ages to warm up and difficult to get the correct temp.

The breakkie was reasonable, though I cut down on the daily fry ups to save the heart. Could maybe do with more choice outside coooked breakfasts - no use if you don't like cornflakes or marmalade...

In summary, its not the kind of place I'd take the girlfriend for a romantic minibreak but for cheap digs it was perfect, handy on-street parking and 5 mins from where I was working.

We booked via the net as the b&b we would have liked to stay in was fully booked.I would say this place is OK for workers not for tourists.Our booking was confirmed as having two rooms one en suite for our lady traveller. On arrival she was shown to the rooms with Ikea beds (clean) but no en suite. The shared bathroom was abysmal the cubicle for thw shower was small and the shower did not work very well.The b/fast was poor.We had asked for bike storage this proved to be the entrance to the b&b.In its defence we onlt paid £23. per person any more and we would have looked elsewhere.
