We stayed 3 days at the MGH, the proprietors were great, lot's of local knowledge they were willing to share..the room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Really good value for the price!

We found the hospitality, food and family room to be of a good standard. The room itself was very comfortable and homely and my daughters particularly liked the bunk beds. The rooms etc were very clean and warm and the breakfast was really good. We liked the proximity to the ferry terminal and got good local advice from the owner.
Wish we had stayed longer and we will be back. Many thanks to all.

Stayed in the Maridon Guest House from 21st July for 3 nights bed and breakfast. No complaints at all with our stay our room was nice and clean our shower worked a treat and the breakfast was excellant and a great day to start the day. The parking in Oban is a bit tricky so the private parking at the Maridon was a nice bonus. It is a 5 minute stroll to the lovely town of Oban. It is very convenient to the ferry port and train station. We were both very impressed with the Maridon Guest House it is excellant value for money and we will be back here to stay next time we are in Oban.

This b and b has a lot of rooms and is very much a business rather than a family home with rooms. Having said that our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and our wet clothes were kindly put through the tumble dryer.
It's proximity to the ferry means that some early risers stay here. It is absolutely no fault of the owners but we were disturbed by a selfish family at 5.30 am who departed at 6am having probably woken all but the heaviest sleepers. It should not have to be necessary but maybe those who are leaving early for the ferry could be asked not to make too much noise?
