just returned from a weekend at the regent. Fantastic deal inclusive of B&B evening meal and 6 drinks vouchers each night. Hotel was very clean but in desperate need of refurbishment. meals were very basic and entertainment ancient LOL. Have to say we had problem with paint flaking(dampness)in room, the staff were very apologetic and left wine in our room asway of apology. The staff were very hard working and polite, attentive at all times.If this hotel was upgraded it would be a blessing, great location and superb staff. Even allowed us to keep room on for later check out.

I stayed here in August with my mother for a week. Hotel is run down and certainly not suitable for elderly people. Hotel lift only takes 2 people at a time, its so slow, and when a coach trip arrives, the queues are out to the door waiting for the lift. The place is run down and badly in need of refurbishment. Staff were friendly enough although meal times were a bit regimental at times, maybe because it was a coach trip we were on. Food was nice and hot and good choices. Given that Oban is one of our major tourist attractions, I think the hotel need to spend some money to upgrade.

We travelled as a family of 8 .. my parents ,sister,niece, husband and children so there was a lot of ages to contend with and everyone of us had an absolute ball the food was good the service was superb .. Weather was another thing but no matter where you are in Scotland you can never predict it !! HUGE thanks to David ,James and Robert the staff that made our stay even more enjoyable .Great value for money ..fresh towels every day ...clean beds ...FANTASTIC stay .. we will be back xxx

Yes the hotel is a bit jaded but after having spent Hogmanay there, the staff, food and entertainment made up for this. A big thank you for all the effort - we had a great time!!
