“warm and friendly - i will come back”

When in Aberdeen I normaly stay in Crown street but a local taxi driver convinced me to give The Arden a try ,
I was only looking for a one night stay so i took a gamble that there would be a room free and luckly for me there was - I was welcomed into the Guest house by Ann the owner and shown to my room .
The room was clean , warm a bit old fashioned but it was just what i needed .
But the best thing about my stay in the Arden was the Scottish full breakfast i had and enjoyed in the morning .......... it was a " taste sensation " and worth the stay alone..
All in all i enjoyed my short / brief stay at the Arden and next time im in Aberdeen i will stay here.

Room Tip: Before booking check the Ardens website - there is no lift in the guest house so the stairs could be...

“Friendly, cozy room, great breakfast in walking distance of city center. Great value.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Was very well received, small room, but cozy with a nice view, very clean with fresh soft towels every morning. Great warm breakfast with boiled eggs cooked to perfection and great location. I loved it and will return.

“Stayed two years ago: July 2009”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

I have read through the reviews and would like to offer some thoughts.....it is the attitude with which one goes to Bed & Breakfast's...they are usually in a place that was once someones home....so rooms may be smaller than other accomodations, however at the Arden House the ladies are so nice, helpful and sincerely want you to have a pleasant stay. The breakfast is just terrific and gives you all you need to start off for a great day of sight seeing or business. Location is close to everything in town. Coming from America, we found this stay very cozy, pleasant and had a nice stay! I plan to come back to Scotland to further my research of heritage there and will stay at the Arden House if I am able to come back!.

Room Tip: Comfortable, cozy, adequate, clean

“disappointing, small room, had to pay for parking outside guesthouse.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2011

The room was small especially with luggage. The breakfasts were good. Didn't like the paid parking outside between 8am - 8pm. It should have been free for residents of the Guest house. Wasn't user friendly with all the stairs - especially for older couples and carrying luggage to your room.

“great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2011

We went to Aberdeen for some christmas shopping and stayed at the Arden.
Nice welcome im the morning off the boat: we could leave our luggage at 8 am!
Great breakfast , room was very clean, good bed but not very big.
Located just off Union Street but in a very quiet one way street. Excellent for the
shopping and theater: all in walking distance.
We will stay with the Kellys again when we are in Aberdeen the next time!
