“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I stayed here for about four weeks at the end of 2011 for business.

Really nice hotel clean, open, and everything you could need from a mini bar to a safe. The room was always cleaned and cleaned well may I add. On the odd occassion you would find the General Manager had left a free bottle of water, with some chocklate and a free drinks voucher for the bar which I thought was a nice touch. The best room I found was the corner room. Wifi worked perfectly throughout the hotel.

Really good selection for breakfast buffet, which tasted very nice. Dinner menus ok but limited ate out after the first couple of nights. The bar was quite expensive which was to be expected about £6.00 for a jack daniels & coke but nice enough staff.

Easy to get to the Victoria Street for shopping and not to far for the pubs & clubs just a short walk back. All in all very nice hotel would go back not on business.

Room Tip: Corner room for me, nice view of the outside fountains & more room.

“Very Good Hotel”

A really good hotel, stayed there for one night on business. Has good facilities and is near city center. Breakfast is a buffet with a good selection of food.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

This is a really nice hotel and a notch above the norm. The hotel is located in a quiet location to the south and within easy walk of the city centre.

I was here for two nights and had a normal double room on the 5th floor. Room was large, high ceilings, nice view, comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had a shower that catered for people over 5ft tall! :-) Free WiFi in the room and a modern TV/radio system (even the remote speaker in the bathroom worked!)

Breakfast was buffet style and very nice as were the bar meals.

“Good for Business Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I stay here on a regular basis when visiting Belfast for business. The hotel is a relatively new hotel so it is modern, well equipped and cleaned to a very high standard, there is free wifi for all rooms, which is extremely rare. I often get upgraded to a business room which has additional nice touches such as robes and slippers, although the regular rooms are just as nice with nice touches such as a bottle of water and chocolates when you arrive. The staff are very friendly and on the odd occassion when I have had an issue they are quick to resolve problems. Breakfasts are good with plenty of choice and whilst the restaurant is on the expensive side the meals have always been nice. There is also a bar offering bar food which again is of a decent standard.

The location of the hotel is fine for me being near the office but it is a good ten mins from the main shopping area and at night the area around the gasworks has a bit of a lonely feel, being female I wouldn't walk back to the hotel on my own say after 9pm. Other than a few niggles, the lighting in the rooms is generally terrible but I find that in most hotel rooms and the location of the plug sockets are a bit odd, especially the ones that are so tight to the fixed desk that you can't plug a laptop plug in - the main downside to the hotel is that it lacks any atmosphere, perhaps being a little bit out of the city centre it means people tend to go out of the hotel or maybe it is because I am there mid week but generally I opt for resturants in the city centre or order room service rather than sit in the bar which is quite 'airport lounge' like.

There is no gym or pool facility but you can use a gym about a 5 min walkaway for a discount if you ask reception.

Overall a good hotel for business travellers but I would opt for something a bit more central if I was staying for leisure.

Room Tip: I'd avoid any of the rooms on the top floor, the odd shape of the buildings means that these roo...
