“Very comfortable nights sleep...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Myself and a friend were going to the Mclub (which is situated next door to this hotel) for a night out and decided to stay to make a night of it.
Check in was very quick and receptionist was very friendly. We received a complimentary drink each in the bar which was a nice surprise!
We had booked a twin room with breakfast included which unfortunately we didn't make due to sleeping in after a late night so can't comment but if it's anything like the food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner, it would have been beautiful!
We stayed in room 314 which was on the top floor and at the back of the hotel. Unfortunately this meant we ended up right beside a large, noisy vent but once the window and slide were both closed, you could hardly hear it. We found out after enquiring about moving rooms at reception that all the exceutive rooms are located at the front of the hotel, they were only about £10 extra but only have double/king beds.
The room was very nice, beds EXTREMELY comfortable, nice flat screen tv with selected freeview channels and tea/coffee making facilites. Bathroom very clean and modern. They even offer certain things if you've forgetten them, even GHD hair straighteners!!
We didn't get back in until after 2am, there was security on the door to check you were staying which I suppose they have to do with all the people walking about after closing time of the nearby bars & clubs. Residents bar is open until 2:30am.
Check out was 12pm which suited us perfect, they do however offer a late check out to 3pm if needs be but as we didn't need this, I'm not sure if you had to pay a little extra.
We also parked at the NCP carpark just behind the Movie House cinema on the Dublin Road which the hotel offer a discounted rate for overnight parking, they validate your chip coin when you're checking out. Ended up paying £7.50 for the car which I thought was very reasonable in the city centre.
Definitely looking at staying here again and wouldn't think twice about recommending this hotel to anyone :)

Room Tip: Exceutive rooms and suites are situated at the front of the hotel which is less noisy but only have...

“Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I stayed at Benedicts as myself and a friend were going to the nightclub which is just next door so it was very handy indeed.
The room was lovely, even better than I expected! And the beds as well were very comfy! Only downside was that our room was right beside a vent which made alot of noise! But once the windows and curtains were shut it wasn't too bad.
The staff wer very nice and friendly also.
The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have it's own carpark. But they do a deal with a carpark about 10mins walk away at a discounted rate, which wasn't too bad as long as you don't mind the 10min walk away with your luggage.
But I have to say, I wud definately stay again!!!

“Fantastic hotel in a great location”

This was my second stay in Beneficts and it didn't disappoint. As we were staying for 4 nights we upgraded to a superior room which was well worth the extra pennies. The room was huge and had been recently refurbished - very tastefully done.
Although the hotel is right in the midst of pubs and clubs the triple glazed windows keep the room quiet. The only downside was that the temperature was a bit on the warm side in the room.
If staying up there make sure you take a walk up botanic avenue - lots of little shops and cafes and the botanic gardens at the top. It's a lovely area and sometimes missed.
Staff at the hotel can't do enough for you and service in the pub and hotel is exceptional. Can't wait to go back...
