“Faultless!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I had a lovely 3 night stay at Avenue Guest House and really enjoyed it! It was so clean, comfy and relaxing. Alice was a brilliant host - helpful with a map and recommendations for things to do and restaurants etc. The breakfast was top class - quality food and so well presented. Lovely dining room with a high standard of table wear. Avenue is in an excellent location - 10 min walk to Ulster museum and the botanical gardens. 20 min walk (10 min bus ride) to city centre. Loads of bars, cafes and restaurants in the local area.

“Fantastic Place!”

As a frequent traveller I do use tripadvisor but this is the first time that I have written a review.

I have no hesitation in doing so as we had a brilliant stay at Avenue Guest house. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it! It was my partner’s 1st visit to Belfast although I have been before. The house was lovely and Alice made sure that we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was so comfortable that we didn’t want to get up! We had everything we wanted in the room. The bathroom was a great size with lovely shower gel, soap and even body lotion. Our room had a great flat screen TV with DVD player and we even had a mini fridge which I haven’t seen in lots of hotel rooms. Breakfast was great with a lovely cooked breakfast but also delicious scones and homemade bread when I felt that I should go for the healthier option. We wanted to visit the Ulster Museum and Botanic gardens and were able to walk there in 5 minutes. The area is packed with restaurants – we had a meal at Deane’s (recommended by Alice) opposite the university and it was excellent. It was easy to get to the city centre – we walked in (20 minutes) and took the bus out after a day of shopping. We loved it so much that we are already making plans for another weekend in Belfast and we will definitely be staying at Avenue Guest House if Alice has room for us.

“Home from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

For a Small B and B this would be hard to beat. I have now stayed here 4 or 5 times and each time the welcome and courtesy of Alice and Stephen the owners gets better. The rooms are all individual and like being in a family bedroom with all the comforts of home. A very comfortable bed, Warmth, all the usual tea and coffee stuff, blankets if needed, hair dryer, TV, dvd, etc, all on suite. Ideally located, with some good local restaurants, and a very safe area day and night.
And peace and quiet. A good choice at breakfast from fruit and cereal to a good fry up. With so many other large hotels in Belfast to choose from my choice is now made easy, Avenue House every time. Try walking the 1.5 miles into town via the Botanical Gardens, a great way to start the day.

“Just fantastic”

Stayed here and we loved it. Belfast is a great city too. The breakfast, the room and hospitality were just great. We will be back again in 2013 for a family reunion.

“Highly Recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I stayed here with my mum and dad and overall we found the experience to be a pleasing one. The room was lovely and spacious and the beds comfortable; I especially found the information guide useful. The cooked breakfast was very staisfying, especially with the home-made scones and whetan bread! Finally, Alice the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come to stay here again and would recommend it to others.
