“The atmosphere of home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I was in this hotel for 2 days by business. It's run by family and makes up very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are large and quiet. I would even recommend it for honeymoon couples. The fans in bath room was too powerful - overcooling when taking a bath, but it's the minor disadvantage. The rates are very good, and hotel owners do their best to let you feel well. If I go to Belfast again I'd stay in this hotel. The city airport is within 20 mins by bus. Buses run every 20 mins or so.

Free Internet from the owners. The booking is by trust.

Room Tip: The good family type hotel in a quite place. I'd chose it again if I come to Belfast.

“Simply perfection, cannot be surpassed in belfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

My wife Sadie and I stayed once again at the Roseleigh in the latter part of June for three nights. I say once again because it must be my fourth or fifth time. Why? Because being from Belfast I know when I am getting the best that Belfast can offer in terms of a very high quality B+B,and I say this for numerus reasons. We have also a lot of experience of hotels, guest houses etc, having travelled abroad extensively and we know what is good and what is not.So what is that makes this so special? The initial appearance, followed by the welcome you receive by the owners,Donna and James, the super friendly support staff who assist them, the comfortable guest lounge, the excellent dining room! All this before being shown to your room. I have had different rooms when I have had cause to return to Belfast. They have all been excellent;nicely decorated with ensuite bath/shower,tv,tea/coffee facilities, very comfortable beds and all kept spotlessly clean.Guarenteed a good nights sleep as it is in a quiet spot about 1 mile from the main city centre, with a great bus service on virtually on the doorstep;but its a nice walk into town past the lovely Ormeau park. Rosetta is a lovely area of Belfast. Next thing...the all important breakfast! Donna and James offer a very comprehensive choice and neither my wife or I can fault it.Of course there is the usual famous Ulster fry, except that it is much, much better than usual at the Roseleigh. The sausages and bacon have been chosen well and the irish soda bread is cooked so that it is nice and dry and not oily. Those of you that know irish frys will know what I mean. Lots of fresh tea/coffee and toast etc, etc. Donna or james will help you with any advice you need, they are both lovely friendly people and are a fine example of the true Irish hospitality. Now all I can say is that for all this you will find the rates are definately the most reasonable in my beloved home town! So,remember, when in Belfast, the CRAIC has to be 90....Donna will have to explain! Enjoy the Roseleigh,i am sure like us,you will return.,Gary and Sadie M...Hull.

“A home away from home”

This is the 4th time we've stayed at Roseleigh and it feels more like visiting with family than staying at a B&B. Donna and James are the most wonderful hosts and their home oozes warmth and hospitality. Roseleigh House is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and Donna's breakfasts are legendary! It is also very conveniently situated just off the Ormagh Road and close to the city centre by car or by bus. My favourite room is No. 4 - the yellow room, which is very spacious and has a lovely view of Donna's garden and the leafy street below. If you can manage the stairs, the top rooms, especially the triple, are really adorable and cosy.

Room Tip: My favourite room is No. 4 - very spacious, pretty, nice view. Top rooms, esp triple very cosy &...

“Very friendly accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

We chose to stay at Roseleigh House as its location was convenient for a wedding we were attending in the centre of Belfast. Our stay was for just the one night

Checking in and out was nice and simple and Donna was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with a welcoming cup of coffee upon our arrival and arranging ironing facilities for us to get ready for the wedding.

The room itself was located at the front of the building on the first floor. It was very clean and tidy and housed the usual tea & coffee making facilities along with a flat screen TV.

There is off road parking available and also parking on the side street immediately outside the guest house.

Unfortunately due to some very loud guests in the adjacent room (at a stupid hour in the morning) I didn’t have the best night’s sleep. However you can’t legislate for those who have no consideration for others!

The breakfast room was very pleasant and the full Irish breakfast excellent.

WI-FI in the room didn’t appear to be available at the time of our visit, which was a shame.

On the whole we had a very pleasant stay and would consider returning if we needed further accommodation in the area.

“Magnificent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

Here you feel right at home. Donna welcomed us in, helped take the bags up, and showed us our lovely triple room at the top of the house. We then sat down with Donna for a proper tea. The entire house is spotless and decorated beautifully. There are nine rooms and all are ensuite. You make your breakfast selections the night before and arrive in the morning to luscious food in the beautiful dining room. On the morning we left, James even took us to the train station! If you are ever in Belfast, do not hesitate to stay at Roseleigh House. And I am happy to add to this review with a few photos!
