“Great apartment, location and customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We stayed at century Wharf for a long weekend earlier this month. The apartment's are really well located smack in between the city centre and the bay (10 minute walk to either), we were on the 8th floor the views over both are great. First time we have ever stayed in an apatment and if this is what there all like we'll never do hotels again.

“Booked it, but was switched to another building down at the bay !!!”

I booked a two bedroom flat at Centuary Wharf with "SilverDoor Serviced Apartments" , when I picked up the key and instructions from a local restaurant I discovered I was staying at "Quayside Apartments" via another company (A Space In The City).
So I never saw my selected apartment , nor its swimming pool, nor WiFi.
Quayside was brand new and most comfortable however.
Just shows what can happen in the rental world !!
No I never did get an explanation or reply !!

“Not quite up to the mark!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2011

I booked with Cityabode having failed to find accomadation in a hotel or B&B- it was the Carling Cup Final weekend. The room was lovely, great view but a few things didnt match the luxury we expected these were....NO curtains on any of the main room windows, being high up doesn't dispense with the need for some privacy. No microwave- I would expect this as a basic and the cutlery, kitchen utensils were limited.Only 1 pillow each in the bedroom, couldnt find any spares and the curtains were so thin that we were woken every morning at 6am with the light streaming in....and only 1 bedside table and lamp. Also a handy guide in each apartment would be useful.Map, buses to catch to town/bay nearest shop etc very useful if you dont know the area. However, these minor issues didnt detract from a lovely stay in Cardiff.

“Brilliant - Luxury apartments close to the bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

Don't bother booking a hotel in or around Cardiff bay, stay here.
We booked a penthouse apartment with cityabode and it was perfect.
We had a 2 bedroom luxury apartment overlooking the bay, with a high level of furnishing and really well appointed - flatscreens, remote curtains, excellent audio system, free wifi etc.
It is in an ideal location in walking distance to the bay and has everything you could want.
Real VIP accommodation for excellent value for money.

“great value and customer care, close to transport and places to eat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

We booked in for 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment at Century Wharf because the price was good and we hadn't stayed in the bay before.

A number of things went wrong in the beginning, when we picked up the keys they didn't give us a hairdryer, the apartment wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi. But when we reported it the staff were really helpful and brought a hairdryer over straight away and when the wi fi didn't work in another flat they moved us to we were moved to the penthouse the next morning.

The other apartments were nice but the penthouse was spectacular. Amazing views, sky tv and a bathroom each and of course wi-fi to connect our various laptops/ipads/phones etc.

We didn't take a car but there were good connections into Cardiff. Century Wharf is a 10 minute walk to the bay area where there were loads of eating places. The number 8 bus which is a couple of minutes walk from the apartment goes into Cardiff , the number 6 goes from the bay, and the train takes 5 minutes between Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Queen Street. We also took the river boat a couple of times from the Bay into Cardiff which was a nice way to travel.

The area is being re generated so is a mix of very new and old. We were out late at night and felt very safe - the apartments are opposite a large police station. It was the same price as a cheap hotel there's a pool and a gym thrown in and we didn't have to get up early for breakfast. The nearest shop is a tesco metro in Cardiff Bay a 10 minute walk away so we got ourselves some juice and croissants and had a leisurely morning.

Despite the small hiccups at the start we would definitely stay there again, the flats were clean and well equipped with huge tv's and when we had a problem it was addressed immediately and followed up if it couldn't be sorted there and then.
