“One night in Aitches B&B”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

We just spent Saturday night in the Charlotte room everything you needed was there and the bed was very comfortable. However the room needs a really really good cleaning and dusting. Cobwebs dust and dirt not been touched for quite some time, the shower tray was full of scum and the bathroom sink taps haven't been cleaned for a long long time. The tooth brush cup actually had green mould inside and unusable. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the proprietor was very nice and helpful, would return if he gets a new cleaner.

“Had a wonderful time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Just spent three nights at the Aitches with my husband and loved it. The owners are very helpful, and there's plenty of information on the area available. My husband loved having a chat with David in the mornings before we headed out for the day.

The lounge room is comfortable, and I loved the fact that there was a bookcase of books to read down the corridor. Having said that, I didn't get much of a chance to peruse the shelves. The parsonage is nearby, plus there is also the railway station. And the Bronte Falls (a waterfall, footbridge and "Charlotte's Chair") is within walking distance of Haworth. Not to mention "Top Withens" farm, said to be the inspiration for "Wuthering Heights". (This is mentioned on page 34 of "A Guide To Historic Haworth And The Brontes" by Mark Ward with Ann Dinsdale and Robert Swindells).

The room we were in was clean and comfortable. We had no problems with parking (we parked in the car park round the back of Aitches - ok, so we had to pay four pounds to park between 8 and 6 pm, but that's a council issue). Breakfast was delicious, and unrushed. The serving size of the cooked breakfast was just right.

This was our second stay at Aitches, and we'll definitely consider coming back for a third.

“nice spot but would not stay again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

The guy is lovely and very helpfull. We would not stay again as the rooms have a very damp feeling and look so very tired. Breakfast was fine but the dining room was not clean. Its in a great spot for browsing Bronte country though... shame about the place really.

“Would Return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2011

We arrived earlier than expected so had to wait for the room to be readied. The basement room was clean, but did feel a bit dampish after three days of rainy weather. There was no noticeable mildew anywhere nor any odour of such.
Breakfast was good, with a nice choice of options (more than one egg allowed compared to other places we have stayed). Service excellent.
We parked in the parking lot behind Aitches with our handicap placard from Canada. Got issued a parking ticket by the local authorities. David, the proprietor and the visitor information centre staff were both extremely helpful in assisting us to contact the parking authority.
Location is good, right beside the Bronte parsonage. Pubs and other eateries are close by.
Local shop is a ten minute walk down to reach it, and twenty minutes walk back due to the length and steepness of the hill. Wifi was unreliable. We would stay here again.
